Automatic Marshall Impact Compactor with Stationary Base for 4” and 6” Speciments, ASTM
UTAS-0800A and UTAS-0801A Automatic Marshall Compactors are designed for the preparation of Ø4” and Ø6” bituminous specimens with the same device for Marshall Stability tests.
The compactors have a heavy-duty design that withstands the continuous shaking caused by the compaction process and they are equipped with a hand operated mould fixing mechanism which locks the mould in place during compaction and reduces vibration of the moulds.
Ø4" and/or Ø6" hammer/s and mould/s should be ordered seperately for UTAS-0800A and UTAS-0801A Automatic Marshall Compactors. The hammers can easily be altered by the user.
By selecting the 55 or 64 blow, these compactors apply a speed of 55±5 or 64±4 compaction blows per minute to a Ø4” and Ø6” specimens. And also any number of blows entered by the user into the control panel is applied automatically. The apparatus stops automatically after the presetted number of blows. The bloe numbers can be seen on the counter.
The conveniently positioned control panel comprises of start/stop button, emergency stop button and a direct reading counter used to set the required number of blows. The operator can keep track of the number of blows on an LCD display.
The standard models can be supplied with a safety/noise reduction cabinet. The cabinet is lined internally with soundproofing material to reduce sound level conforming to CE directives.
UTAS-0667 and UTAS-0668 Marshall Steel Blocks which can be used for initial heating of the foot of compaction hammer.
