Skid Resistance and Friction Tester

The Skid Resistance and Friction Testers are used for the measurement of surface friction properties. The apparatus is suitable for both site and laboratory applications and for Polished Stone Value tests using curved specimens from accelerated polishing tests with the Acelereted Polishing Machine (UTA-0810). UTA-0830E can also be used for testing Paving Stones (EN 1341, EN 1342) and Paving Blocks (EN 1338).

Skid Resistance and Friction Tester
The Skid Resistance and Friction Testers are used for the measurement of surface friction properties. The apparatus is suitable for both site and laboratory applications and for Polished Stone Value tests using curved specimens from accelerated polishing tests with the Acelereted Polishing Machine (UTA-0810). UTA-0830E can also be used for testing Paving Stones (EN 1341, EN 1342) and Paving Blocks (EN 1338).
The apparatus consist of an adjustable pendulum arm, and a spring loaded rubber slider (see spare parts) mounted on the end of the arm.
Rubber sliders (UTA-0832-TRL, UTA-08332-TRL, UTA-0832-4S and UTA-0832-4S) should be ordered separately.
The Skid Resistance and Friction Testers are supplied complete with;
- Additional Scale, for Test on Polished Stone Value Specimens
- Thermometer, 0 to +220°C for Surface Temperature Measurement
- Washing Bottle, for Surface Wetting - 1 L
- Tool Set with case for machine assembly
- Rule for Sliding Length Verification
- Traceability Certificate of Conforming to EN 1097-8 or ASTM E303
- Carrying Case
